Allen P. Caslavka, 76, of Cedar Falls and formerly of Sumner, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Unity Point/Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

Allen Paul, son of Paul and Alice Rabenburg Caslavka, was born January 19, 1942, in Postville. He was baptized January 24, 1942, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clutier. Allen graduated from Clutier High School in 1960, and following high school, honorably served in the United States Navy. On January 16, 1966, he was united in marriage with Judy Brunscheon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sumner. To this union three children were born, Scott, Deborah, and Brian. The couple would later divorce. Allen farmed, drove milk truck, worked at Case Implement, Wayne’s Agriculture, North American Van Lines, and retired from Tyson Foods in December of 2003. He was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sumner, and would also attend Catholic Church. Allen enjoyed antique tractors, traveling, and was always tinkering on things.
Allen is survived by his three children, Scott (Melanie Householder) Caslavka of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Deborah (Robert) Van Der Molen of Grimes, and Brian (Rochelle) Caslavka; four grandchildren, Brandon (Erika) Waniorek-Caslavka, Brent Caslavka, Alyssa Van Der Molen, and Baylie Van Der Molen; one great-grandson, Brayden Caslvaka; siblings, Paul (Gail) Caslavka of Riverside, California, Carolyn (Bob) Rose of Mariposa, California, Christina (Dan) Walton of West Covina, California, Melody Caslavka of Covina, California, Lucinda “Cindy” (Duane) Crawford of Chino Hills, California, Steven (Lisa) Caslavka of Oceanside, California, and Matthew (Elizabeth “Lisa) Caslavka of Covina, California; and significant other, Mary Ann Stock of Cedar Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
